Hispanic Society of America


This museum is dedicated to the arts and cultures of Spain, Portugal, and Latin America. It is located in a pretty Beaux Arts building. They have artwork that includes paintings by Goya and El Greco. Not only do they have paintings but they also have an outstanding collection of sculpture that even dates back from the first millennium B.C. The museum also has photographs, drawings, watercolors, prints, ceramics, glass, furniture, textiles, ironwork, jewelry, and textiles. Their library includes a first edition of Don Quijote from 1605.
