This is one of my favorite restaurants in Georgetown.  Opened in 1963 this restaurant has been a longtime favorite of locals and tourists alike with great all-American food with a bit of a southern flair.  YUM! The décor is saloon-like with very comfy banquets.  You’ll always find this place packed.

This is a perfect place to stop if you are exhausted from a full day of shopping and site seeing.  Pick up a yummy gelato and let your parents grab some coffee.  If the weather is good, why not suggest picking up their pre-prepared food for a picnic?

This is a great place if you are traveling with a large group of people.  The restaurant is two-levels with five dining rooms and a private dining room.  A crowd definitely won’t overwhelm it.  It is in the style of a Victoria-era saloon.  The food is very good but not as great as the Georgetown location.  However, it it’s a great place for dining before a Verizon Center event.

Ok so I am not one for long lines but this one is worth it.  The TLC reality-show “DC Cupcakes” is filmed here.  And the cupcakes are just SOO YUMMY.  They have a schedule of which cupcakes are available and throw in some specials.  You do have to advance order certain kinds.  I highly recommend the red velvet.  Despite the long line, you certainly will have a smile on your face when you leave with one of their bright pink cupcake boxes!
