Macy’s Herald Square
Not my favorite store in New York City but definitely a landmark. From 1924 until 2009, it was the world’s largest department store with 2.2 million square feet. While displaced from its number one position, its size makes finding anything here overwhelming. Macy’s sponsors the famous Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, which kicks off the holiday season in New York City. If you are in New York City during that time of year, make sure you check out their famous and extraordinarily creative window displays.
